About Britta

Britta-Lis PerryI’m a a freelance writer and web designer, and an avid traveler. I live and write in the small town of Girdwood, Alaska, which has been my home for the last 5 years. Though I love to travel and have been many places in the world–16 countries on 4 continents and counting–I always come back to Alaska. I got my degree in Communication from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and have worked in the marketing world — including graphic and web design, and copywriting — ever since.

I’ve covered my travels via published articles and my own blog, and since much of my professional life has been spent designing websites for small to medium-sized businesses, I’ve written quite a lot of copy as well. I’m the author of a cookbook especially for travelers, and I’m hard at work on a soon-to-be-published novel based in Alaska. See examples of my work here:
